PRIVATE LESSONS
Private lessons are available for students seeking to improve their playing capabilities and overall musicianship. Taking private lessons "fast forwards" the learning process and provides students with an opportunity for one-on-one instruction with a degreed teacher or non-degreed teacher.
Scholarships are available for students interested but unable to afford private lessons.
About Private Lessons
Private lessons that occur during the day at Griffin Middle School are taught by teachers who have undergone a background check, fingerprinting process, and have agreed to only charge the rates set by LISD. Private lessons teachers are private contractors approved by the district. Thus, all payment and communication happens directly with the private teacher.
Rates are as follows:
$24.00 – 30 minute lesson
$20.00 – 22 minute lesson
